چکیده
This study was conducted in stone fruit orchards five provinces of the East Mediterranean Region Turkey between years 2009-2011. The aim to determine potential aphid vectors quarantine pathogen PPV (plum pox virus, family Potyviridae) that causes serious yield losses. During surveys, 542 orchard/nurseries were sampled and 6 species (Hemiptera: Aphididae) [Brachycaudus persicae (Passerini,1860), B. helichrysi (Kaltenbach, 1843), cardui (Linnaeus, 1758), Hyalopterus pruni (Geoffroy, 1762), Myzus (Sulzer, 1776) M.cerasi (Fabricius, 1775)] from trees 4 [Aphis craccivora (Koch, 1854), A. fabae Scopoli 1763, gossypii Glover 1877, nasturtii Kaltenbach 1843)] weeds known as efficient detected orchards. Stone samples (flower, leaf, fruit), weed tested by DAS-ELISA presence PPV. infected resulted uncertain processed conventional RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) finalize decision presence. A total 8 PPV-infected with both analyzing methods region. Three these aphids well. B.cardui collected orchard Hatay-Samandağ also run analyse for virus positive.

Aphid (Hemiptera: Aphididae) species composition and potential aphid vectors of plum pox virus in Pennsylvania peach orchards.
Plum pox, an invasive disease recently identified in Pennsylvania stone fruit orchards, is caused by the aphid-transmitted Plum pox virus (genus Potyvirus, family Potyviridae, PPV). To identify potential vectors, we described the aphid species communities and the seasonal dynamics of the dominant aphid species within Pennsylvania peach orchards. Aphids were trapped weekly in 2002 and 2003 from ...

Plum pox or sharka, a viral disease caused by Plum pox virus (PPV), severely affects the production of Prunus species in Europe. The first evidence of sharka was reported in Iran in 2000 . Due to the economic impact of this disease on crop production, recent advances in the term of biology, epidemiology, and disease management are provided in this paper to assure awareness among growers and pr...
متن کاملPlum Pox Virus and Sharka Disease
Sharka is a disease of fruiting, ornamental and wild Prunus species of great socio-economic relevance that has spread to most Prunusgrowing nations. It is caused by Plum pox virus (PPV), a member of the genus Potyvirus. In recent years, there have been notable advances in our understanding of genome organization and expression, functions of gene products, and pathogenicity and host range determ...
